Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Orange and Green

The Spathiphyllum, in Latin, translates into “peace and prosperity.” This Peace Lily became a lovely addition to my home in August.

The first bloom is ending its cycle, but still a beauty in the late afternoon sunlight, highlighting a slight yellowish orange tinge.

At its unfurling birth, it exuded a brilliant white presence. I am saddened that I did not take more photos at that time. Here are the only two images I could find in my archives.

  2. Funny how you would think these colors couldn’t complement each other less, yet here they are in nature working perfectly well together. Nice images.

  8. I love how you show bits and pieces of the lily and then in the bottom left show the full plant and it’s shadow. I see that one as a spectacular bird about to fly off home. Very touching, really. 🙂

Thank-you for the interesting comment. I looked at the photo of the full plant again and you are so right. It does look like a bird ready for flight. Great to have your perspective. Appreciate you taking the time to share your visual insights. Cheers!
