I love this haiku… reminds me of something my favourite teacher used to say: “empty vessels make most noise”

Lovely haiku, and I love the stillness and calm of the photo 🙂

Thank-you, Judy. When I took the photo, everything was so silent and still around me. Wanted to stay longer, but it was too cold.

I love the image and poem. These prompts are fascinating ..the way I read your poem: The clarity in clear waters inspired vastness in thoughts…I can relate.. yet with my poems I went from vastness in nature to clarity of thought–mirror images 🙂

Interesting reflection on the mirror imagery of our poetic wording. Thank-you, Janice.

Love the poem, I love sitting in silent places just to sit and be able to think. I also do most of my best thinking in public when I’m sitting in a quiet cafe or bookstore.

Many thanks for sharing your connection to my haiku. Quiet spaces attract me also.
