Yeah, I have to say smoldering desire could be taken a couple of different ways! Haha. However, I am happy that the gem of your creativity is unfolding. You are very creative, Olga.

I’m glad you read the prior comments, Mary. I’m happily amazed that I am discovering my inner “gem.” Maybe I have “unfolded” a talent in the romance area. Ha ha! Blessing to you also.

Thank-you for the hooray, Natalia. I started my comeback last January. It came with writing a few short stories, then finding a joy in photography and ended up with a love for haiku.

Happy you thought so, Denis. That image was a left-over shot from working on another challenge. I just darkened it a bit from the original to give it a moodier look that matched the intent of the haiku.

Thank-you, Vashti. It wasn’t intended to be so, but it does lend itself to that interpretation. After I posted it and got the first comment, I realized that the first line is usually used in that context. I guess, my introduction into creating a ‘romance’ haiku.

  13. Very fitting haiku and photo for this lovers weekend. Is it about rekindling an old love, or perhaps expressing a hidden love for the first time? Just wondering what you had in mind. I really like when I’m left pondering…
