- The challenge is: ” To take a single shape, form, word, image, whatever, and repeat it throughout your sketch…Try to make your repetitions flow together in some sort of composition.”
- Below you will see some of the stages I went through. At one point when adding the pink background, I started to panic that I had made the wrong choice. Then I remembered the words of Bob Ross, “there are no such things as mistakes, only happy accidents.”
- The top final product had a few sparkles added for a photographic effect to represent the sparkle of magic.

Thank-you, Nina. So pleased that you enjoyed my creation. It certainly takes a steady hand and a gentle sweep of the pencil to get the form to flow. I was starting to get rusty. Ha ha!

My daughter saw a local production of Charlotte’s Web yesterday. Just thought I’d throw that in…seemed somewhat relevant. Spiders don’t bother me near as much as other insects, like cockroaches…as long as they’re not poisonous.
