Quadrille #32: Echo

Ripples in Time

Echoes linger softly

In mindful, quiet of the mind

Telling of stories, past unfolding

 In younger, reckless days

Wiser self acknowledges memories

 Redirects to the now

Where joy is found anew

Gradually day turns to night

Echoes relive past slights

In crazy, uncontrollable delight

About Olga

I have always had an affinity for artistic endeavors and the beauties of nature. The power of the word combined with photography have become my creative spark.

I like the idea of the echoes from one’s memories continuing after slights have been forgiven.

I love the reliving in this. “Telling of stories, past unfolding” — YES.

I like how the “wiser self” acknowledges the echoes of memories but then enjoys the here and now. Nice write!

  5. The secret of living in the now…it’s the only way to come to peace with the past, isn’t it? Beautiful, Olga.
