Forlorn
Life without color
Like having warmth without love
Mind welds the heart tight
*
That was a bit on the dark side, so here’s something more lighthearted ( I think ) and rhyming fun.
Darkness jumped in sight
Bit me in mid-flight
Gave it a fight
Sang a bouncy tune
My heart did swoon
Laughing at the moon
Hey, there’s nothing wrong with the dark side…ha, ha!

True, Marissa. Exploring the dark side of the human condition can be intriguing. Thanks for the comment. ❤

As Oscar Wilde remarked, life is too important to be taken seriously.

Thanks, Mellow. I like this one by Dr. Seuss. “Nonsense wakes up the brain cells. And it helps develop a sense of humor, which is awfully important in this day and age. Humor has a tremendous place in this sordid world. It’s more than just a matter of laughing. If you can see things out of whack, then you can see how things can be in whack.”

So true, Lindy. Dark and light co-exist. One of the many paradoxes of life. We choose which one to focus one.
