Whispering Prayer
Hope catches in fragile throat
Filling vital spaces with evolving light
Thoughts turning away from brooding darkness
Surrendering to possibilities of light
Rejoicing in autumn’s electrifying spirit
Hoping to spark renewal, beyond mere existence
A hopeful feather drops from heaven
Whispering a soft prayer
Beautiful! I like that you used a feather as a sign of hope. I’m one who does believe in signs, and feathers from heaven. 🙂

Thanks, Barbara. The floating feather comes to me at the weirdest times. I too believe in signs. ❤

When they come floating my way sporadically, I always get the feeling of hope. Like someone is looking after me. Strange! 🙂

Thank-you, Denis. Actually I captured those images the day before I wrote the poem. 🙂

I usually find a setting and or image stimulates a haiku.

When I see prompt words for challenges, I automatically think of what image will stimulate my poetic words. It’s a process. 🙂
