Memories of Ottawa, 2016
View of Canada’s Parliament Buildings from across the Ottawa River.
Designed, brick enclosure around a pond next to the lofty pillars from the above image.
Bonsai tree with large, cut stones in the courtyard next to the pond.
Different perspectives of the same piece of architecture.
Ceiling above the entrance way to Parliament Buildings. Sadly we missed out on entry tickets and never got to see the inner chambers.
Lovely tone on your black and white images. We love Ottawa…a memorable city to visit.

Thank-you kindly, Michael. It certainly is a memorable city. I hadn’t visited since I was in my teens. Happy to have gone back after all these years with a camera in hand. 🙂

I just came back visiting Ottawa and sadly I missed the tickets too. But I did get to see parliamentary debates and got tickets to visit the Peace Tower. No camera and cell phones are allowed in the visitors ‘ gallery of the Parliament.

I was there for a day and half. I just parked my car at the hotel (5 minutes walk from Parliament Hill) and walked around everywhere. It was exceedingly hot and humid. But as the host in the middle eastern reastaurant told me, hot is better than – 30C in winter. I had a good time.
