A peek at the darker side of prosperous Ottawa.
These two photos were taken almost consecutively. A person on the phone obstructed my view and it appears as if the camera’s eye is peeking around his form. Then, I captured the street person as if peeking through some tree branches.
This is a before and after photo of our Rideau Canal Sunset Cruise.
The first one was taken when we were pulling away from the dock. You can see the West Block of the Parliament Building peeking out over the bridge. It was being renovated on our visit in 2016, thus the crane. In the second photo, you can see that we lucked into a beautiful sunset on our return.

Glad I do not need to pick a favorite. The street person is poignant; the partly obscured light fixture looks like a half-closed eye; the cat is adorable. Unusual and effective compositions!
