  1. Oh, wow. That’s very cool light! The clouds seem to be moving.

    <smile> Excellent revelation too.

Thanks, Patrick. The shot was taken when we were just flying (a heli-ride) out of the remains of an old volcano in Kauai. Yes, the low cloud cover was moving above us. Such an overwhelming feeling of awe to experience the ancient, inner walls so close-up. One of my few photos that didn’t get ruined by window glare. Totally forgot I had it. 🙂

      • <smile> I spent a few weeks in Kauai a few years back. Unfortunately, heli-tours were out of my budget at the time. There was no small magic to the place, even from the ground, but I can just imagine how spectacular your view and experience must have been. =)

<grin> I notice, also, you did manage to find some inspiration in ‘epiphany’ …. finding your way to a revelation. 😉 Nicely done!

It was a once in a lifetime experience and expense with my youngest one for a wedding for my oldest daughter. I still remember that I was really overwhelmed and intimidated with the American customs inspections.
They pulled us into a detention area for having grapes. Stressful experience trying to get home. Beyond the negative, all experiences are revelations of some sort. 🙂

          • Mmmm… International border crossings always put me a bit on edge. No awful stories to tell of my own. And, actually, some pretty decent human beings have helped me enter their country when someone with less compassion might have thrown the book at me. So I count myself fairly fortunate.

But, yeah, a few ‘learning experiences’ along the way. And that’s always to the good, in the end.
