Lost in Time

Weathered and broken

Once an adventurous gem

Vessel of crossings

Key to sudden journey’s end

A story yet to be told

Thanks, Lindy. I’ve been so sick with the flu for the past few days, which knocked me out so completely, that I couldn’t function. Creating this post helped me get back to “normal’.

  6. Just wondering why you went with red? Also, seeing in the comments you have been under the weather, hope you are feeling fully well soon.

Thanks for the question. When I write poetry, I usually try to intertwine the visual and the words. Since this post was engaging multiple challenges (two of which were poetry), I decided to forgo the B/W I had originally planned and add a splash of red since the vessel looked like it had been through a harrowing experience in the past. Thanks for your well wishes for my recovery from the flu. I’m almost in the clear. No fever yet today. 🙂

I love that you were able to intertwine all those prompts so deftly. Nicely done! ❤

I like your photo. Coincidentally I just posted a photo of an old weathered boat for the WordPress Photo Challenge – we must have been on the same wave length for a moment. 🙂
