A sage dreams of unfolding mysteries.
A vision appears.
A black rose, bound with cords, waits silently…
…but the road to enlightenment is strewn with thorns.

The rose looks like it’s metal.

That’s the beauty of B/W photography. It can transform the look of something real to unreal. Thanks for your thought, Marissa. 🙂

Oh, sweet images … especially the last. Love love love the textures and graphic details. Like a woodcut.
An the poetry … a perfect expression flowing from the images.

I bet. I rarely create that way, instead using the images to find the words.

I had already worked on the photos for another possible challenge. Just had to convert them to B/W and choose the right ones to match the ‘surreal’ and ‘moments’ themes. Thanks for the wonderful comment, Suzanne. 🙂

Yes I saw the same prompt but couldn’t find anything particularly surreal in my photo archives. I like the way you combined the two prompts. 🙂

I like the photos individually as well, but the grouping – the starkness of the black & white, combined with the collected textures – is simply, surreallistically stunning. Very Marceau.

Thank-you for the enlightening comment. While in the creative process, I also felt like B/W conversion would pull the images together for a more surreal effect. 🙂
