I just love the way you play with such graphical light and colour and texture … such arresting forms you create. And your words, equally graphically minimalist and evocative. Wonderful combination. =)

For me, this striking closeup of light streaming thru a leaf hints at the divergent world of Gothic cathedrals, with light streaming thru old stained glass. The glass has some small dark blotches as well as the dark lead lines between the pieces; these are battle scars from centuries of striving to help congregants transcend their daily grind.

I like the idea of entering a divergent world through looking at nature and also the way Curmudgeon links your image to stained glass windows transporting the faithful. All in all a photo that inspires contemplation.
