Lifting my eyes towards the sky
Questions arise…
Are we in the midst of the beginning of the end?
Are the oceans really dying?
Will the dolphins continue to pulse their joyful song?
Will the moon be crying for our dying planet?
The next generation will tell the tale
Gratitude still encompasses daily moments
Joy is to be found in simple pleasures
Yet psyche absorbs dangerous news of the day
Mother Gaia sends its call for guardian angels
Patrick’s Challenge: Gratitude
Powerful!

We’re all looking for those guardian angels. The moon is a good place to begin searching. (K)

Thank-you, Paul. Yes, the future outcome could be very sad. Even now climate change is affecting many parts of the world. 😦

Love the image and the poem. How to hold gratitude and joy while the psyche absorbs dangerous news of the day. An ongoing task that begs for awareness, resilience and faith.

Thank-you, Arati. Yes, daily refocusing and mindfulness is necessary not to get caught up in scary possibilities. Faith is the key word.

As always, exquisite images ideally accompanied by insightful verse. Gratitude for what we still have; vigilance and action to maintain and heal it. Perfect.
