‘Tis the Season

Unearthly transformation

Spectral glimpse of primal fears

Dark cavity chills

Childhood nightmares erupting

Into seasonal whimsy

Strange this season, when you think about it.

Somehow we need to scare ourselves and let the dark side out occasionally…must be a way to balance. (K)

I love it, Olga. A few years ago, I wrote a paper in college about Halloween and how celebrating the pagan holiday allows us to be whatever we want for just one day! We get to embrace that inner darkness that is always balanced with our light. It’s a stress reliever! Of course, now for me, this holiday is about celebrating our ancestors. Look for fairy activity… as the veil thins, they like to tease. (trick or treat) ❤

This whole holiday is weird when you think of it. Especially so, since adults seem to be more involved than the kids. Especially around here. Nice one Olga.

Very good, Olga. It is weird how the ghosts and goblins we so feared as children are now a form of entertainment. It’s even weirder that we try to look like them. Maybe a way of facing our fears?
