In Sudbury, weekly farmer’s markets display locally-grown food, wild blueberries, hand-crafted items, homemade baked goods and preserves, and sometimes live music. Always fun to experience the community vibe and take some photographs.

Love the look of wooden, bushel baskets that bring back childhood memories.
These unusual, textured gourds caught my eye.
A bit of a humorous touch with the hat on a pumpkin and the 714 pound, prize pumpkin stealing the show.

Just had to get a macro of this chanterelle mushroom.

I enjoy seeing these images of your farmers’ market. I love going to the farmers’ markets in this area. The aliveness they contain and the connection to earth through the farmers. the experience of being there feels uplifting. I love the common thread that these markets bring us. That they have been around in varying forms forever, and take place all over the world. Farmers bringing their goods directly to people. Such a deep sense of connection, continuity and hope.

Thank-you for your thoughts, Arati. I totally agree. They are the next best thing to growing your own food. 🙂
