As the days grow colder
Memories grow fonder
Warming the heart
With candid moments
Playful opportunities
Minds exploring
Sensual learning

Sometimes fun turns to too much fun, as the day`s outing comes to an end. There`s a story behind that pouty face.

One is eager to pack up and the other finds it hard to leave the playful possibilities.

In the end, the seagull finds itself alone exploring the beach.

Cute, cute, cute. Great photos. Kids (in general) are the best.

Thanks, John. I find they are easier to photograph than adults. Adults tend to be suspicious of a camera aimed in their direction.

Aahhh – wonderful summer memories – children playing (and a grown-up!) and a lonely gull. Perfect!

These photos made me smile, especially the legs sticking out of the water. As I read your poem, it occurs to me that children always find an opportunity to play – “sensual learning” carries on through the seasons. If only we could capture that spirit. Lovely poem.

Thank-you, V.J. Yes, those legs were a lucky shot. Happy that I brought a smile to your face. 🙂 Sensual learning tends to peak in childhood. I’m still doing the visual learning with my photography which is tied to awareness of the emotional effects of colour.

Photography is teaching me so much too. Aren’t we lucky to still be learning?

It was really interesting to be at the beach and take photos of other people’s children having fun. 🙂 I’m a bit older, so these moments don’t always come naturally. Thanks, Kerfe.

I don’t do more than wade in the ocean these days, but it’s always healing just to be there.

This is absolutely lovely! We have so much to learn from children who are just so…who they are. Your photos capture this so well. And your poem carries us along so nicely.

Thank-you. ❤ Yes, capturing children in their innocent moments is wonderful. When I was sitting on the beach and just observing with my camera, I didn’t know what I had captured. I’m glad that I could share these photos. 🙂
