Presence Missed

R.I. P. Peanut–May 28, 2020

Emotional risk

Of letting go

Ending the story

Witnessing heart stopping

Heart breaks

Presence missed

Gentle soul

Disappears from earthly existence

If only nine lives

Was a reality

And the cancer

Hadn’t written

A death sentence

So suddenly

One more day

Not possible

Time had run out

Peace was calling

Double-edged reward

Bitter-sweet mantra

Love is forever

Yet tears still flow

V.J.’s theme: Risk-reward
