Aging can be a challenge
Years of wear and tear
Physically and emotionally
Can consume the body and mind
And leave unwanted residue
In the present moment
*
The road gets shorter
Perspective changes
Trying to clear the air waves
To a higher vibration
Where understanding
And peace with oneself
Lies waiting
*
Yes, we are all on the road to peace and acceptance of oneself, and as the road grows shorter it just seems that more urgent. Love the photo, your lovely smile is highlighted in the sunlight.

Thank-you for the thoughtful comment, Heather. The road to self-enlightenment is well-worth traveling. It can bless one with self-forgiveness and understanding that the inner work one does can influence one’s interactions with others and the universe. Happy that you liked my smile. I did edit my turkey neck, smoothing it out. Ha ha!

I love this Olga. Very few cultures are reverent of aging and we’re missing the beauty of life.
It’s not special because we never age or make mistakes or never struggle…it’s beautiful because it’s impermanent and all the difficulties we face bring out the best of our spirit❣️❤️
And I echo – you look beautiful and your smile is not only lovely it’s pure and inviting 🥰

Thank-you so much for your gracious comment, Teri. ❤ Yes, aging doesn’t seem to be revered much in our materialistic, youth-oriented culture. “To some people age is just a number, but to others it’s a gift.” “Do not regret growing older because it’s a privilege denied to many.”

This really resonates this morning Olga. What we endure as we move into old age, the idealism of youth peeling away – the search for a deeper meaning is real.

If the road must be shorter as I age , then I choose the less traveled road.
