I was given the name Olga. I’m a mom/retired teacher/artist/writer/poet and an aspiring photographer. I love those surprise moments in everyday life that twinkle, call us to disentangle and wonder ‘what if…’
I live in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Our winters can be very harsh and seem to last forever. Nature offers many opportunities for photographic splendor.
Since starting this blog in April 2015, I’ve surprised myself. For one, I never ever thought that I’d develop a love for haiku writing. I combine this poetic form with an image because I feel it adds more impact to the total meaning.
My photography is still evolving and is a necessary companion to my emerging words. Sometimes I’m forced to borrow an image, but I try not to, if possible.
I’m also surprised that my little Canon Power Shot camera has taken me this far and brought some of my photographs a bit of recognition. Blogging life has been wonderful and has unexpectedly enhanced my creative spirit.
