In this quiet moment
My hat sits waiting
Ready head out
In a search for tranquility
I walk alone
Oblivious to past worries
No decisions to make
Totally absorbed
A wave of nostalgia
Washes over me
Like a cooling breeze
On a hot, summer’s day
Then a tiny movement
Catches my eye
And I realize
I’m being secretly watched

(P.S. I lost that hat a few years ago in Hawaii, taken by wind.)

Sorry about the hat Olga, but here we are seeing it for the first time, so it’s still with us in a different way! Lovely post

Ah, the luxury of no decisions to be made. Lovely. Too bad you lost that hat, but at least it has a story to accompany it.

I am weeping a single tear at the loss of your hat š The wind have deposited a hat of minie into an unreachable gulley while on a hike. A friend of mine witnessed. The loss. A year later we did he solemnly saluted when we went past the sam spot š
Lovely thoughts and photos

I appreciate your single tear of empathy, Abrie. Yes, a hat can have much meaning since it comes with us on many journeys and gives shade from the sun. I do have another replacement, but I still miss the one in the photo. š
