Reclaiming a New Day

Once I lost myself

On the road to adulthood

Now I can sit and breathe

Slowly shedding old skin

No longer troubled

By leaving things behind

I gaze at the clouds

And reclaim a new day

It is a slow shedding too, isn’t it? I love that you have coupled this with a black and white photo – creative.

Thank-you Kerfe for your thoughts. Yes, letting go is a hard process and takes a long time. Sometimes I think I’m there and then I get sucked into a memory that gets me emotionally entangled. Most days feel like a new start.
